I wonder if someone can give me a configuration or a .cfg file to get more fps in my mw3 cause it's making me mad .

my specs:

dell inspiron with intel i3 second generation

4gega ram

1gega nvidia 525m graphics card

Your specs can run battlefield 3 on medium, how can that even have any problems with MW3? (I have the same config, other than an i5 instead of the i3)

for battlefield, i run it on low and it still lags, it goes to 40 fps for like 30 seconds than drops to 10 for 5 seconds. all the other games ( iw4m and iw5m included) have that problem too. in iw4m i have 150 or higher than drops to 60.

I like 90. Don't know why but it just feels good. As long as I'm not going below 60 Its fine to me.

Exactly. The 24 frames for film is because physical film naturally has motion blur to smooth out the scene. Games don't have motion blur unless it's added as a post processing effect, so each frame is a discrete rendering.

 

Though I encourage everyone to go ahead and com_maxfps 24. And keep a bucket handy.

You're saying you have framerate drops. That's pretty normal...

^ I mean, that's not a very good GPU. It's unlikely you're ever going to maintain a high frame rate in a modern FPS with it unless you drop to a very low resolution and lower your details quite a bit.

 

Since it's a laptop, I'm guessing you also have thermal issues.

Well, it does. I get around 45-30 FPS on it...lags sometimes during heavy scenes like when my planes crashes into a hill (in first person obv), or while aiming at something under heavy sunfalre or a tank blowing up shit behind me...but it works good overall.

my brother have the same laptop with an i7 processor, bf3 works with no issues on it :'(

we have the same temperatures on the two laptops
