I type my password and it starts going then it says there is a problem with steam verification. I also do have a legit copy of mw2 on steam though :/

Set your steam profile to *Public*

Download the latest files and place them in your MW2 folder

location should be:

C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\CODMW2\

And just place em in there. All of them...

If it doesn't work, I don't know, ask an admin.

Yep I did all of that have all the files in mw2 and the raw.iwd in main and it keeps doing it and i just did this a few minutes ago so i doubt they were updated since then

I get that sometimes too, Just relaunch it. that fixes it for me every time.
