Hi guys, i found two files that lets you have a MW3 server in about 1gb (2.6gb if using DLC)

 

Instructions:

1-Put the .exe on your MW3 Dedicated server directory, open it and follow the instructions.

2-Delete the folder called "main" and put the folder that it's on the zip.

3-Profit!

 

I've tested it, and it works, however if you want, test it on other server folder.

I didn't make this nor I claim ownership of this, I just put both files together, credits to respective owners.

Not having maps to load? Restore zone folder. Impure client detected? Restore "main" folder.

The only way to reduce size on a dedicated server is by removing SP fastfiles and nulling IWDs

The .exe will delete SP files, and the nulled IWDs are on the zip too

 

My server folder went from about 12gb to 2.6gb (with DLC)

[Don]M05K1T0, i know that it works. I did that manually a long time ago already.

But what qShadow was proposing won't work on IW5M. You could delete IWDs on IW4M, but on IW5M you need nulled IWDs to match the file comparing that is done between servers and clients to avoid "impure client detected" errors when clients try to join a server.

Also, I checked your zip with the null files. You can't use that IW_23 that you have there. You have to use the one wich comes with IW5M updater or there will be a mismatch on that file.

But ok, as long as people run dsut after putting the files on their server installation, there won't be a problem because IW_23 will get replaced automatically.

Why the iwd files you provided is only until iw_23? Where are iw_24 til iw_28 as well as iw_33 and iw_34. I'd appreciate it if you include them too. Thanks.

I try to open exe file but i have this error:

but i put it in the server directory.

 

SOLVED: i delete manually the sp files.

chances are, if you're running your server from an actual server .. 10GB of HDD space should be nothing.

 

For example (my servers):

Server 1 (CoD Server):

3.22TB Free of 4.27TB

Server 2 (Backup / File server):

11.8TB Free of 18TB

 

10GB is nothing.. and as far as I'm aware, it's doesn't even effect server load on startup.

 

Nice tool but in the long run, it's kinda useless. (Unless you're using 40GB Maxtor IDE HDD's)
