I just set up my dedi server & tried to set up the b3 but there's a problem . When i run it using python , it goes till update available & then some kind of error comes & it closes immediately. (no time to read the error) i tried to find a logfile but there isnt any . .. Any fix for this ??\

 

I have checked the settings , they are working in normal b3 till Rcon connection (which doesnt work coz cod8 isnt recognized) & also i was wondering if we could add cod8 parser to normal setup of b3(not the python release) ?? I had b3 for mw2 so , if somehow i could add cod8 parser to it ?? ( i can run it easily )

That's exactelly because of cod8.py parser that you need the source code version. You can't add code to the compiled version.

About that b3 crash error, you can see it on b3.log

there are many things that can go wrong with the python-version of B3

there are many settings and configurations that has to be precise

also b3 isnt alway's create logs if something is wrong in the setup

 

you will see a cmd screen flashing then its gone and no logs

 

lol i know i struggled also with that problem

my solution was creating a shortcut to Python.exe

placing it in the b3 root and drag&drop the b3_run.py on top of it

Now the CMD window didnt close and i could see where i messed up

and go on from there

btw B3 is working fine now

I searched the whole b3 folder for b3.log & log files ....

"No result match your Searches" for b3.log

4 Results for log :

logdiagnostic.pyc ( Ran it using python , python window just flashes for a second )

logdiagnostic.py ( ^ same thing happens )

The b3.log is in the b3 root folder. I sssume you are using a batch file to start B3? If so, put a pause so you can see what is happening. If no log is generated, B3 isn't even started.

can you post your b3.xml file

REMOVE PASSWORDS AND mysql_LOGIN

Open b3.xml and see this line here:

C:/b3/b3.log

That's the line that defines the log's path. If you enter an invalid path, a log can't be created.

like i said there are many way's to approach B3

 

@b3/logs/b3.log

is also creating Logfiles
