Hi everyone, every time i try to start a play on a server, i can do it for about 5-10 seconds then start to lag (with all the other people running on their place) and then crash on the main menu with a windows which say "Server connection timed out"; i tried a lot of different server but every time i get the same error. I'm talking for the IW5 with all the dlc installed on Windows xp SP3, net framework 3.5 and 4.0 installed and the same for the c++ package. Someone knows how to fix?

I've been trying to fix that issue this afternoon on a friend's computer.

I tried synching the time on windows, I unninstalled the anti-virus, disabled windows firewall, verified the game files on Steam and then 4D1's updater... nothing worked.

Although I had to leave before I managed to fix it (that computer is gonna get format next week anyway) I'm sure that the problem was related with some network issue.

Besides that problem of the game hanging, he was also getting some random curl messages on startup.

I suggest you looking at your router configs. Enable UPnP and disable the router's firewall.
