same problem here... had it on both cod6 and cod4, but anyways here is how you can fix it: 1. type in the console "/r_fullscreen 0; vid_restart 2. change your resolution 3. and then you type in "/r_fullscreen 1;vid_restart if that doesn't work then do the following thing: 1. go to the players folder in your modern warfare 2 and then open cong_mp.cfg 2. press ctrl + f and search for r_mode 3. and there you can change the resolution hopefully this has helped you I just edited the config file. Which line would I change?

Whenever I try to change my resolution, it goes to a blackscreen and my pointer starts to flicker. Then when I control+alt+delete, it minimizes (its the only way I can minimize it) and there are usually 5 windows open in the game. I don't know why this is happening. I don't want to play the game on 800x600 on a 1080p monitor. Any help would be appreciated.

I had an older version of 4D1 so I downloaded the files in the tutorial and overwrote them in the mw2 folder. Am I supposed to get a fresh copy of the game and put them in?

I tried updating my game and now i keep getting this in the console and then it stops responding. I followed the instructions so I don't know what's wrong.
