Hello 4D1, Today morning my laptop gave me an Windows Repair error. I wen to school and left it to repair the windows but it didn`t. I tried inserting windows 7 disk in the dvd but it won't recognize it and I cannot start the windows installer. Whenever I try to start the windows normally or in safe mode (without the windows dvd of course) it gives me black screen with mouse pointer. I can only move the mouse. Can I fix the problem or I need full reinstall on the windows. If so can I somehow transfer some of the data from the laptop HDD to PC. My laptop HDD is Seagate Momentus 5400.6. Is there any specific cable I need to use and other power cables?

Hmm, actually he has Intel Pentium G860. I think this CPU is a lot better than mine

He plays at 1440x900, I am 1600x900 That can make quite a difference actually. And you GPU is bottlenecked by that shitty Athlon. I know but I cannot afford new CPU at the moment. What CPU do u recommend me? Is the AMD F-4300 good?

Hello 4D1, Two months ago I bought GTX560Ti Sonic 1GB. My friend bought 640GT a month ago. He runs every single game at maximum settings (Most Wanted, Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution). When I run any of these games it lags. We both have the same hardware only difference in the GPU. The only 2 games that runs smoothly on Ultra Settings are FC3 and Hitman Absolution. The other 2 games lag at whatever settings they are set. I am pretty sure that 560 is a lot better than 640, several people told me that too, I even wrote on other 2 forum they said the same thing. Any idea why this is happening? And by the way my specs are: GPU:GTX560Ti Sonic 1GB (he has GT640 2GB) CPU: AMD Athlon X2 640 REAL QUAD CORE HDD: 1TB Motherboard: M4A7LT-M RAM: 8GB (he has 6GB)

Changed the PSU, the problem still persists.

We both tried Lowest settings and the highest. It stays the same - he has no lag, I have.

Hello 4D1, 1 month ago I bought GTX560 Ti Sonic 1GB and 2 weeks ago my friend bought GT630 2GB. We both have the same CPU's - AMD Athlon II 640 3.0Ghz. We tried to run Assassin's Creed III and on my computer which GPU is 3x faster is getting lag in boston. But he does'nt have any drop of fps. Why is this happening to me? Also another friend bought GT 640 and he gets no lag too. Please give me solution for this.
