Before I begin, I'd like to point out that a LOT of people REALLY, REALLY underestimate this gun. Sure it's not as powerful as the spas-12 or the m1887's, or the m1014...but this gun really packs a punch.

 

 

 

The ranger shotgun: Unlocked at level 42.

If your already there *like me* and figure it to be bad, Than look at this guide

 

The ranger is a double barrle shotgun with two attachments, FMJ and akimbo, Similar to the model 1887's.

 

The range: Not so much, It doesn't have half of the range of a model 1887 or a spas-12 does...

The damage: This is what makes it so good. The damage is extremely high and is VERY effective at the ranges you shoot it at *mostly very close, close, or mediumish range*

 

Perks:

Marathon (Pro perferred)

Lightweight (Pro perferred)

Steady aim

 

This gun is extremely useful in clustered situations. Like for example: If there's about 3-4 people capturing a flag in domination, You have these akimbo as your secondary, You pull them out and BAM! They're all dead.

 

Guns like the spas-12 and the M1887's have that bad part: Pump action or lever action.

 

This gun is similar to the m1014, it doesn't need to have a pump action capability..Has a decent ammo amount, High damage.

 

So you can basicly call these guns the *mini* Model 1887's.

Sure they're not as powerful as a full out m1887 or a spas-12 from ranges, But in close quarters battles, They Pack a punch.

Steady Aim isn't really necessary, since it'll still be a one shot kill most of the time (as in almost every time).

I agree with Toans, instead of Steady Aim, I would rather use Ninja (pro) or SitRep

I only use steady aim on the SPAS-12, Striker, MP5K, TAR-21 and F2000.

but sitrep is the best 3e class if you have good headset
