I can't even Add the code at the target field in the dedicated server exe shortcut.. It says invalid target...?????

I am a complete noob at server making... Can anyone make a video for the same plz I mean with voice or subtitle that would be nice...

Can I make a server on a sh!t stone pc???? If I can install the game somehow on it somehow...

And maybe a small note on port forward....

The actual server software is free, but if you are going to host on a "professional server" (server hosted by a provider for it), then you need to pay for it regularily. If I'm reading right, you are going to host on your own computer, so it is free.

What did you try putting in as a target? If the path contains spaces, you need to quote the path to the server exe, as an example:

C:\Server\fourDeltaOne IW5M\LaunchIW5M.exe -dedicated ...

Would become

"C:\Server\fourDeltaOne IW5M\LaunchIW5M.exe" -dedicated ...

Depends on how many users you want to host on it. I don't think "sh!t stone pc"s can host the maximum amount (of 18 players) without problems, so try something like 12 players or less for the beginning.

You just need to forward the ports which you gave through to the server, read the dedicated server tutorial, step number 5 or 6.

Here's an example of a valid dedicated server shortcut:

C:\IW5M\iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryPort 27015 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config test.cfg +start_map_rotate

 

as an example:

C:\Server\fourDeltaOne IW5M\LaunchIW5M.exe -dedicated ...

Would become

"C:\Server\fourDeltaOne IW5M\LaunchIW5M.exe" -dedicated ...
