I have been trying to figure this dedicated server out for a while i fallowed the tutorial here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=11583

 

And the server doesnt report errors or anything it says it works but when i search for it in the server browser its not there not even in the lan tab i really want a server up i was wondering is anyone able to cerate a Video tutorial on it?

Everything is working fine. Don't worry.

It's just that many routers don't allow the return of the query on your own server. As long as your forwarded the game port and the query port, other people should be able to see your server on the list and join it.

It did not work just sits at connecting forever idk what i did wrong i portforwarded everything and made firewall exceptions....?

You have to include the game port (set with "net_queryPort" command)

Example:

connect 192.168.1.1:27015

It will work even if the ports are not forwarded, since it's internal connection.

connect 192.168.1.1:27015

But make sure you are using YOUR PC ip not the router access ip

ie 192.168.1.100 (or whatever it is)
