My server list looks like this-

[attachment=1]2012-09-07_00004.jpg[/attachment]

The ones that are in a red box starts loading when joined but then the "patch.mp.ff is different from the server" appears.

[attachment=2]2012-09-07_00003.jpg[/attachment]

The ones that are not in a red box and have a mp_ prefix do not work at all when clicked the game gets stuck.These ones don't even show map preview.

try running the updater , (delete caches.xml)

1) You don't have DLC files.

2) You don't have the game in ENGLISH.

3) Your PC is crappy and is the reason you lag.

how do i patch my mw3 with steam???

here is your solution sir!

 

1. you using the wrong patch_mp.ff. I suggest you deleting cache.xml and run the LaunchIW5M.exe that will download the required fast files for IW5M

 

2. reason you getting checkerboard screens and error mp_blah_blah.ff is because you did not visit the muffin man's site and download those maps..

 

Once you get those 2 fix then you should be good to go. you dont have to patch IW5 on steam. LOL
