Yes, though if you use a different name and don't associate yourself with 'being a person they have a strong dislike toward' they shouldn't be able to identify you. Also, it was more likely to have been a single system performing a DoS (note the single D), presumably a server in a datacenter - if your router allows logging of such attempts, should it happen again, you might be able to contact the network owner/abuse contact of the source IP providing this log data and possibly causing the source server to be suspended.

I don't know, it completely ate up my 20mb/s download, and servers here aren't very good. I have half a mind to provoke them to do it again, then use wireshark or such to get their IP and follow those steps.

It is being looked at - if you have IP of where they are d-dossing from please let me know. It should not be (will not be) coming from our server data-centre.

If they are found to be doing this type of action they will have their server rights (that we give them) removed.

We (TNZ) DO NOT tolerate this sort of action.

Edit: Jebus (OP) please do not make threats back to Valor that you will d-dos them and us with 20,000 bots.

This just starts to in-flame the situation.

We do log attacks on us and certainly will track/trace and approach Telco company if need be.

Glad to see you taking an interest, a fair few hosting companies could care less.

However u have 20mb/s upload it doesnt secure u from dos attacks. While dosing with a server u can upload 100mb/s into ur internet. That will get u down in less then 5 min. Some routers have the options to block incoming packages by dos attacks.
