I bought MW2 yesterday, and I remembered that FourDeltaOne was created for those who have bought the game, but wanted to play on dedicated servers. Anyways, I downloaded and installed the launcher and whenever I go to log-in, I get this: [attachment=0]oshibka.JPG[/attachment]

How can I solve this issue? Is there something in the common fixes that I missed? Any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Please check your firewall, anti-virus or any other protection you might have and allow a passage for iw5m.dat

Try using a proxy and see if you connect, the game is unplayable via a proxy, but that will help us pin point the problem.

How would I go about doing that?

The steam check was removed months ago.

Yes, my university's network is. It wouldn't be the first game server that they blocked. I contacted the IT department and requested some port forwards. Hopefully it all gets sorted out. I really liked the whole "dedicated servers" idea :|

Yeah but you didn't need it. Steam IW4 sucks anyways. You could have gotten the game from another "source". You could have used the ten dollars to buy some snacks or something. That's what I would've done with it
