So somehow, after getting through 2 hours of gameplay, when I want to edit my class, I get a message saying disconnected from Steam, or in other words, I lost 2 hours of progress...

 

How does this happen and what is there to do to fix this problem??

 

There's also times when I exited from a server suddenly because of the message

"The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 servers are not available at this time. ......"

So... no reply.....

If you get more than 50k XP in 1 match your stats wont be saved.

Most people providing support here can't afford to be playing 2h straight. Even among the people who can afford to be playing for 2h straight, few are the ones that might experience a problem like that. So, the best you can do is to try to get some network logs, so that we can try to identify the problem, as it's clear that's a problem related with communication between your game client and our server.

BTW, It's not just 2 hours straight, sometimes only 5-10 minutes and then the message box comes out...

This is literally the first time I've ever heard of this problem having to deal with the amount of XP earned. If that would be the case, I would try quitting the game, delete the iw5m.ini, log back in and that would solve the problem for me. Never lost XP, ever. =/

Well, it turns out i'm not alone with this problem. Some guy in my local server got hit with the same problem too, where as after he played 2 full-length match, he went to edit his class and somehow got the message

"Disconnected from Steam"

and lost his stats for those 2 matches...

I'm experiencing the same issue. Still no fix. I didn't even played a single game. I was just changing my classes and the "Disconnected from Steam." message appeared.

Maybe try to delete cache.xml, flush your DNS, try to play private match to see if it happens local network or internet.
