So someone helped me fixing the connecting to the server problems now I have a other problem.

The problem is that I don't see my server on the server list. In the server.cfg I have this:

Select all// Specify server visibility (1 = LAN, 2 = Internet (default) )
//+set dedicated 2

What is it supposed to be? 1, or 2? Or is something else the problem? I also tried adding +set dedicated 2 in the shortcut parmenters but I still don't see my server on the list.

Thank you!

1_Write it like this mp_terminal_cls

2_Delete //

1) Right

2) No.

2) You have to set it through your launch parameters in your shortcut.

Terminal problem is fixed now but I still don't see my server on the list.

Get a router that supports a query on your own IP

Just make sure that other people can see your server on the list.

It isn't my router. My router has dd-wrt and is very fast. Our internet is 60mbps download and 6mbps upload.

Other people also can't see my server on the list. My friend tried to find the server and connect via IP but still no work.

Forget about the "+set dedicated 2" command. That command isn't needed.

I use these arguments on my server:

iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryPort 27015 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config server.cfg +start_map_rotate

(add "+set net_port xxxxx" if running multiple servers)

What you need to do is to open and forward the server's game port and query port.

Game port to allow clients to connect to the server, and query port to make it show on the serverlist.

If the ports aren't either forwarded on the router or open on whatever firewalls that you may have, you'll have that problem.

These are the ports I forwarded. I think I even forwared more ports than even be needed. As you can see I also host an Minecraft server which works fine for everyone so I don't think it's my router.

My shortcut has this in it:

"D:\Games\Call of Duty- Modern Warfare 3\iw5m_server.exe" +set net_queryPort 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate

I'm going to try your shortcut right now. You'll hear from me.

Edit: I still can't see my server on the list but I can connect my server via my ip (94.215.167.248:27015).

If you can connect to it through the external IP, then port forwarding is working.

As for showing up on the list or not... ask some friend to search for it on the list (or give us the server's name and I'll search)

Friends also can't see my server on the list, already tried that. But why if friends cloud see my server on the list and I can't see it? I had an IW4M server which worked perfectly and I also saw my own server on the list. :?

open port 27017,27015 and use this parameters

iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryPort 27015 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config server.cfg +start_map_rotate

I already did as you can see it in the picture. I forwarded the ports from 27015 to 27022

If you want my advice, just set that computer's IP as the DMZ host. Then you won't have any more problems related to port forwarding.

I don't have any problems at port forwarding, I just can't see my server on the list.

Bump?
Bump, again

You do have either port forward or firewall problems.

Maybe you have one of those crappy routers in wich the firewall can never be disabled.

Hello we have a visibility problem, everything is working fine and we have 10 servers already, so every new server that we try to make is not visible. Ports are open, firewall is set, so what can be a problem then?

Hope you can help us.

On our dedicated server there are 33 servers running fine, visible, and without any problems, but every new server made, is not visible, still cant understand why, and we checked everything.

Yeah but your dedicated server if rented it has direct connection to internet. Not needing to pass two lvl NAT. As I can see your screenshots are from a linksys(or similar, with compatibility for DD-WRT) router/acces_point you might just need to ask your ISP to set DMZ on the modem to your router's WAN port IP (again, linksys router) and then your port redirects would work.

Anyways, maybe your Minecraft server works ok because it's port is already redirected on modem as well as in your router. But if your LAN is set with 2 level NAT that will give lots of problems.

Look here is the thing, this server can support up to 296 MW3 servers without any problems (tested). Server is hosting only MW3 and 2 MW2 servers here on 4d1, nothing else, our internet connection goes directly from source to our dedi machine without any router, and provider states that they don't block any ports (also tested) , and pls explain to me how is possible that 33 server are running just fine without any issue and every new one that we make (trough TC Admin or directly with shortcut) doesn't appear on the list, but you can connect with ip and port. Honestly we tried everything, and with no result, that's why we asked here maybe 4d1 has server limit or something.

And btw these screenshots are not ours.

Have you guys tried setting the new servers with different port range, you can go as high as 65535 for the port numbers. Since you guys are running so many game servers within your server that might help.

And the problem is new servers donВґt show up on server list and you can connect to them trough IP? Or new servers are unreachable?

Ports are fine, they aren't problem since server is connectable trough IP. On our side everything is set and working, and as i said connecting trough IP is working and server is playable, but doesn't show on the list. I have one more theory that i will try today, if that doesn't work, idk what to do anymore.

If you host and play on the same machine, you are not able to see your server, you can connect trough your ip.

/connect ''yourIPadress''

fixed.

every command must not contain /

The port that might be causing problems is especifically the net_queryPort. As this is the one that allows the server to show up in internet servers list.

And you can try something else. Since you guys are running so many game servers on your rented server box. If you have an IP's block available you guys can try spliting the servers among the available IP's and setting them up with different public IP's. This way for whenever the master server gets the list of all available servers from your box it will have to ping different IP's and not just one many times.
