only need mp/basemaps.arena is needed to play well, nothing else, the modified dll if only for a few graphic fx on middle of the map

Doesn't it fix the broken devmap too?

well....yes, but devmap is not too important

Like the title says, how would I install custom maps? Where do i put the .iwd files?

.ff files --> zone

.iwd files --> main
