SO I just came to a realization (mainly because I'm a support gunner and never a MOAB gunner)

(put this as an example)

If one wants to get a MOAB, he would play with care but not support his team for winning. For example, the player will not capture a position in Domination/will not pick up tags from downed enemies in Kill Confirmed, all so that he can get a MOAB. Now that he managed to get a MOAB, his team had lost several precious points (30 tags for example).

 

So my question is......

Is that MOAB really worth it?

You do know that even if you're going for one you can support your team by getting the tags and such ? Mostly noone does collect tags/capture points/etc even if they are not going for a MOAB.

So.... what's the point in playing Domination if no one goes for capture points?? Just to get MOAB? And what about TDM servers?

It's possible to support the team while working on a MOAB.

 

Like here, where I clear flags for my team to capture, resulting in a DOM win by a decent margin:

 

Or here, where I capture and defend flags the whole time for another 100 point DOM lead:

I also shoot down enemy UAVs when I get the chance, which obviously helps the team.

Getting a MOAB doesn't have to mean hiding in a corner for 10 minutes ignoring the rest of the game going on around you. I've also gotten MOABs where my team freaking lost, but those were in TDM or Team Juggernaut. If I get a MOAB in TDM and my team still loses, that's on my idiot teammates and not my fault.
