Due to my current *work* laptop being the shittiest and slowest piece of shit on the earth, (HP G62) I am thinking of getting a new one. I'm currently thinking about the HP ENVY Ultrabook 6t-1000, the HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1010us, Dell Insiprion 17R, ASUS K Series, Sony VAIO T Series, and the Lenovo IdeaPad Z580. I don't know if all HP computers are as shitty as mine (I needed to buy a fan to ventilate heat so it preforms DECENTLY DECENT), so I ask you smart people on the internet. I'd also like to know your opinion on those three and any other laptops you guys like/use for daily internet use/Microsoft Word/etc.

 

(for some reason I am hatefully biased toward Apple, so that is a last resort)

I'm not, it's just that my current one seriously fucking sucks...

budget will probably be less then 1k, as most laptops by then are i7 and 7650s. Mostly going to need a laptop that can be used in long time limits without becoming overly heated/slow preformance. I'm looking at those laptops mostly because they have i5s.

 

(my current HP is slow on startup, so not that either)

I own the "ASUS K" serie my self with an I7, never gets hot unless I run games on it.

 

My old HP died due to overheating, so I can only recommend the ASUS.
