\demo demoname

in the console, in where demoname = the name you used to record it.

 

If you are looking for the demos' files instead of playing them, search your "%iw4m%/m2demo/demos" folder or "%appdata%/iw4m" and if you used a mod to record the demos, search in "%iw4m%/mods/%modname%/demos"

 

%iw4m% = iw4m directory

%modname% = mod you used to record the demos

It's simply a compatability issue where the older servers use an older protocol that our demo playback doesn't support. You won't be able to run demos from LEGACY servers.
