Hey all, after a search I haven't found a solution. A buddy of mine has two steam accounts with MW3 registered to one of them. Upon trying to launch IW5M.exe he is informed he does not own MW3 etc etc. I'm assuming it's looking at his other account. After a team viewer session I saw he had the MW3 dedi server installed on the second account. I' deleted this but he still gets the error. Have told him to delete his MW3 install both steam ver and 4D1 version and redownload and we will try again.

 

Is this something anyone has come across?

Do exactly as the error says. Unless the "you don't own bla bla" error has changed you're probably smart enough to figure it out

lol why would you assume I'm asking for a bypass? I'm nearly 40 years of age, run a clan with several servers and have over 60 games in my steam account. My clan mate has two steam accounts with MW3 in one of them. I don't want a 'bypass' I just wanted a bit of support for this lol.

I'm not assuming anything, I was merely telling you how to fix this. As far as I know it doesn't verify the game for some people that DO own it, and this 'bypass' is the only way to fix this if I recall correctly.

Make sure you're signed into the account that owns the game
