That processor will bottleneck the graphics card. I would wait and get a completely new system.

how can it bottleneck it ?

you should know that i just bought that graphics card just a year ago so i cant buy another one.

Wut, no. I have an i5 2310 (albeit heavily overclocked) which is bottlenecking by my GTS450 running at 950mhz. At that price range, you want to be spending fairly equal amounts of money on CPU and GPU.

lol

My 6950 doesn't get bottlenecked by my i5 2500k, which is a much better graphics card than a GTS 450.

Anyway, OP, what's your budget, what are you going to use it for and what else do you want it to specifically have (for example: a SFF-system, LEDs)?

i mainly have budget of 350$ as i am only going to buy processor, motherboard and ram and going to using use graphics card and hard disks of my current system which is amd athlon x2 4600+ and have been using using it for about 4 years so i think it is time for a new system and also i want to play Bf3 which i have bought

but even if i buy it what performance issues i will get? :?

Your CPU will be bottlenecked by your graphics card, could you also list your current specs? Like the case, PSU, HDD(s) and RAM.

With your low budget I'd recommend the i3 3220 (129 USD), the MSI H77MA-G43 (90 USD) and some Kingston ValueRAM (11 USD). Since I don't know which case and PSU you have, I decided to leave a part of the budget open.

hdd is 1.25 TB and 500w power supply and 8gb ram

and thanks for help guys

I"m looking for specific names actually, like "Antec Earthwatts EA 750W", you can find the name of the PSU by opening your case and looking on the sticker of the PSU.

I'd rather say invest in a better CPU, no matter the bottleneck, and later upgrade the GPU when he has more money.

With his current PSU I'd rather have him invest some money in a new PSU instead of a better CPU. Besides that, the i3 3220 is good enough for gaming and every day tasks. Which reminds me of those ads from Intel which say you would require at least an i7 for watching 720p content.

GTS 450 is a bit slow for BF3, just saying. Probably the best card for under 200$ is still Radeon HD 6870 and it can run bf3 on a decent framerate(45-60+) on high settings and playable on ultra(40-45). I had GTS 450 and it's bad for BF3 so save up just a little or maybe sell the card you have now.

I think 500W is enough for any modern system, except if you're doing SLI/Crossfire and heavy OC. CoolerMaster is a brand name for PSUs too, but the specific model OP has is definitely the lower end of their PSU line up, so I'm a bit indecisive about that.

PSUs degrade over time, while it isn't much, his PSU isn't the best available and is probably around the age of four. Cooler Master PSUs aren't really famous for their "stability" either, 500W would be enough if it was a high quality PSU.

so a $500 GPU won't work fully with a $200 CPU? you'resowrong

At that price range,

maybe you shouldn't put a line break in the middle then
