Hey guys, I'm planning on adding support for Kill Confirmed for the latest version of my Specialist Strike Package mod, but first I need your opinion!

As it stands right now, as per the pointstreak system that runs with my Specialist mod, kills and dogtag collections both count towards one's pointstreak. However, this makes acquiring pointstreaks nearly unfairly easy, as you can get a MOAB thus in 12 kills or even less.

I want to know how you guys think poinstreaks should work vis a vis dogtag collection. Should kills, dogtags, or both count towards your pointstreak? Vote now, and the top choice will take effect in the next version of my mod when Kill Confirmed becomes included!

Both should work until you get ALL of your perks, then only the kills should count ?

So basically count it towards your specialist bonus, but once your specialist bonus goes active at 8 kills (7 with hardline), then have them not count anymore?

Exactly like that:)

I like the way you think :) I really think that sounds like a solid idea

Anybody else have any creative ideas? I'm really liking Ghosty's setup!

wtf the point behind this dog tag system is, that you have to MOVE YOUR ASS to get killstreaks, like in crysis 2 (where it was stolen from). So I'd clearly suggest only letting you get killstreaks when you collect them tags!

I agree, I definitely think that not letting tags count for something is a bad idea. Dogtags don't count at all in MW3, and look how much of a camp-fest Kill Confirmed becomes because of it. People need to be equally rewarded for kills and tag captures (to a certain point), which is why I think Ghosty's idea is the best I've heard so far.

The Dog Tag system is broken.

The only way actually obtain killstreaks in mw2killcon is kniferunning/using shotguns.

Why? Because teammates like to steal dogtags, that's why.And then the ks count doesn't increase.

I voted for point/kill system.

I more meant it like, you gotta get your tags yourself, others can't get yours and therefore give you a free kill towards your killstreak... Would be simple and would stop camping (a bit)

Well it's possible to set it up to make it so that friendlies can still confirm your kills (as they should), but only kills that you confirm yourself count towards your streak. That would solve the problem I think you're trying to address

Well the whole point of the game is to collect them, your team is just playing the objective. You can't fault them for that.

I know, right.

If you could make killstreak count increase on Dog Tag picked up by ANY player from my team, it would be great. Now I cant even get an ac-130, because when my teammates pick dog-tags from my ks, I just get xp

ONLY DOGTAGS GO TOWARDS POINTSTREAK

since every kill gives a tag, you have to pick it up to get along the streak

so people cant camp, and the ones that play the objective gets the streak points
