Hey guys. I just finished my first real montage, i think it's pretty cool and I invested a lot of time into it.

I have only 30 subs and therefore I don't get many attention on my vids. but they're seriously not that bad, i've already won an editing contest on a channel with 37k subs.

Pls give my vid a try!

check it out HERE if you want to!

You should sync the text and footage better next time within C4D, as well as remove "Spectating" from the cinematics... other than that not bad at all...

yeah i know the cinematic was bad... :/ but how exactly do i remove the "spectating"? (i recorded the cinematics in the steam version)

Well, you could zoom in on the footage, but i dont recommend doing that unless say you're recording at 1080p and the montage is at 720p so it won't get blurry, another trick would be to just get 2 black bars one at the top and one at the bottom to cover it up, or to use IW4M instead for cg_draw2d 0 ^_^

yeah i thought of using black bars, but at some places in the cinematic it would cover too much of the text.

zooming is probably the best for me... since i'm recording @ 1080p

and btw that the text in the cinematic was jittery somtimes was only partly my fault. Boujou does worse motion tracking the longer the scene is. (at least my experience with the program told me that)

Well not necessarily, when you export a camera from boujou to C4D its one frame off, you need to adjust it in C4D to stop the jittering.

well i did that, but to make it a bit easier I cut the cinematic in multiple parts and when I merged them together again i probably was a bit unexact...

Was actually pretty good. Not exactly my taste in music, but still gave it a like. It's better than anything I can currently edit due to my dumb ass buying an Alienware laptop (worst idea ever)

Although, the anamorphic flares could be toned down a notch; wasn't too pleasing to my eyes for whatever reason. Same with the brightness on some clips. Other than that, great job.

Thanks for the feedback for the like of course :)

And lulz why did you buy and alienware laptop? xD

Eh, I bought it because I knew I wanted to be able to move around with my computer and also wanted to game. Never realized the hardware would be outdated within a year. I'm glad I know better now, and hopefully I can save up to make my own build for 1/3 the price of this PoS.

Pro gameplay, that's for sure... although quick-scoping is getting a bit outdated.

I think you overused editing effects a bit though. Nonetheless, great video. I believe your efforts have paid off, but there's always room left for improvement.

More effects does not mean more likes, if you get what I mean.

i see your point :)

but i think this isn't really overedited ^^ if you wanna see some real overedits, go watch the overedit series from editors club :P just sayin'

but thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
