Hey, been playing 4D1 for a couple of days now, and I've noticed that only some of my demo recordings actually save, and surprisingly enough, it's the ones that I actually want.

 

I open the console, and type in /record blahblah before the game, and before it ends I type /stoprecord, shouldn't that save it? Anyway, this is getting kinda annoying so please answer. If this has been posted with a answer already, then I am sorry, but I did not see it.

I guess you joined a modded game then. Look in the specific mods/blabla folder.

Or just search through your install directory for ".dm_13" and sort by date...

When I play the demo, (/demo blahblah), my game crashes and gives me a DirectX error, and then the demo file is deleted and is nowhere to be found. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Forgot to mention, my DirectX is updated. And it only happens to the demo's that aren't in the normal demo folder.

Uhm, if they aren't in the normal demo folder, you would first need to run the mod it was on, or move the demo to the normal folder.
