I would like to know where i could find the weapons' files of MW3.

I searched a lot, but i didn't find them, even in the MW3 GSC given in the 1.0 version by DidUknowiPwn.

These files would help me in modding, not in MW3, but inb MW or MW2, if I make "MW-IW5M", "MW2-IW5M" or other mods.

these weaponfiles are included in the .ff-files and afaik their encryption in MW3 is still not decoded.

Well ask InfinityWard if they are willing to release proper modtools, they most likely never will.

And as the T6 release is imminent I doubt somebody will work on it.

You're right, they don't make proper mod tools.

e.g. in the CoD4 mod tools, we can mod the weapons, the materials, the penetration, etc... but not the perks, the menus.

And when they made patches for the mod tools, they didn't make these.

Actually the way IW4M loads weapon files is through in memory modifying of files. The representation of weapon "files" on the disk is simply so that you can modify the weapons easily and the dll interprets these files back into the format used in memory... NTA just used the same format found in IW3 weapon files because the data fits into the format easily. Dumping these files would be the same as porting the code found in IW4M to IW5M.
