Can us North American players get it and play just like BO1?

 

As in activate with VPN, get language packs, profit?

 

I read PCDEV contradicting himeself over and over and really I have no clue what he is saying.

 

No way in hell I will ever spend full price for a COD game again. Really zombies is tempting but other than that. I pay cheap. xd.

Afaik, or atleast what lmaobox said, you're going to then need a Russian IP to install&update the game, you will also be able to connect only to Russian players.

PCDEV has said on twitter that with Russian version you are not limited to only playing russians. That you can play with anyone. Of course he said this right after saying that you would be limited to only Russians.

 

On the site where I buy my keys it says:

 

That you either must play with a VPN or without VPN with no achievments.

 

Im so confused. Thats why Im asking around here for others experience.

You can get the English version for almost half the price, so it's 30-35$ you know.

Oh yeah? Right on. You know where? The cheapest I can find is $47.

It's not the same price, but it's "region locked" on Steam, even with a VPN activation, you are not going to be able to play it locally.

TL;DR - don't buy the russian version, you will not be able to play it outside of Russia and CIS.

'unplayable'? not at all, don't know what you've been playing, but it's not T6 I guess

 

(and if it's a cracked SP version, do note that nobody properly patched out all CEG functions as everyone's too lazy to do proper static cracking)

1. It must be activated with a Russian (or any of those other countries that fall under the RU version) IP.

2. English language pack is included.

3. You need a Russian (or those other ones') IP to play the RU version, but apparently you can avoid that by changing the appid to the ROW version.
