Whenever I startup IW5 I get a black screen and when I alt tab it says common_mp and I can only close it.. Any idea what to do? As it isn't in the common errors topic. :roll:

That file belongs to the original IW5 installation. Make a Steam check on your installation, then delete caches.xml and start the game again.

If you are using a english version of MW3

Go to your IW5M/zone/english and find "common_mp" and delete it, also delete caches.xml in your IW5M folder and LaunchIW5M.exe

Had similar problems, the files in the zone english folder are missing, so dont delete stuff, download it from here and put it in that folder

The file is not part of IW5M updater. The best way to put it back is by running a Steam check. Then you delete caches.xml only to run the updater AFTER you got common_mp.ff from Steam.

i get this error for the client version and in tools steam has download for the dedicated server only i even downloaded the common_mp.ff from other sites still gives me this error : common_mp

Well then downloading common_mp.ff and placing it in your IW5M/zone/english/ folder should work.

i downloaded and replaced but it didnt work can u provide me a download link or specify its size so that i can download it
