This error came out after I updated the server

Unhandled exception: A null value was found where an object instance was required.

 

I tried to re-update the server client but the error came back after 30-40 minutes running it

I have no plugins loaded except the default ones (GameLog and TestScript?)

 

I don't know where TestScript came from and it's not in my scripts folder. Anyone having this problem?

 

P.S: I enabled .NET 3.1 when my clan member remind me to update the servers (IW4M and IW5M). I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition x64

Its happening mostly to people using Russian Characters in the chat..

Yes, that error pops-up when people use unsupported characters in chat (not just russian, also some portuguese characters such as Г§, ГЎ, Г , Г©, etc)

Does is crash your server, or does it just output that message?

It's happening on my server since the update as well...4 times already. Yes, it crashes the server.

GameLog & TestScript, parts of the InfinityScript(.dll). This is not a problem. So, nothing to worry about it.

 

Also, close your server and run "dsut.exe". for update your server. Delete "caches.xml" and run "LaunchIW5M.exe". for update your client.

Still doesn't work, maybe because your an elevated user is why you can see it? Or am I just being Slow? Because this does happen to me.

Yeah 10-4, thanks, but I really don't want to sign up to another site just to chat with someone one time. Hopefully there will be an update soon. Maybe b3 has some sort of chat disabler? I'll search.

Maybe if I knew exactly what the specific characters were that are causing the crash, I could put them into the 'censor' filter in b3? I don't know, but would that work?

For the text to get to b3, it has to go through the server to games_mp.log

So, the server crashes before the text gets to b3

Anyway, a fix for that won't take long. Just be patient.
