I recently changed routers and am having trouble reconnecting b3. My external IP and internal IP changed, so I changed them accordingly in the .xml file. Now when it starts up, it doesn't connect to the db...FAILED!!

The server is up because I can go in, but b3 won't run.

Any solutions?

db should have nothing to do with IP changes, unless the db is on a different machine from the game servers. Is that the case?

yes, I have that entered. The bot worked fine until I switched the router out. It connects to the rcon, but not the db. The only thing I changed in the config file was the public and the rcon ip.

Go on the computer with the database (assuming Windows).

 

Open up your Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> View Network Status and Tasks

 

Should have a 'separator' that says "View you active networks" and locate the connection you're using.

Should say "Connections: " by it. Click the "" and then it should open a window labeled something like " connection status" and click the button "Details..."

 

You should see something labeled IPv4 Address. Use that IP.

Oh yeah.. Forgot about that, hah.

 

Well anyways it seems that IPv4 is probably enabled by default on your new router so your other PC's internal IP now changes sometimes.

Since it's different machines, new router... maybe the port used by MySQL server isn't forwarded on the new router (the default port is 3306 TCP)
