one thing that bothered me in iw4m since some time is that the model 1887 shotgun has kinda the pre-patch range and i see everybody is running around with them in akimbo mode.

it's generally very annyoing to die by shotties, but over the time i have accepted it.

 

but it takes out the fun for me and i get mad when i see noobs running with those 1887s. the spas12 is already overpowered enough.

 

please fix it. thanks guys. or is it a problem on my end?!

The reason they are OP is because IW4M runs on an older MW2 engine.

is this intentional? because alter's build ran obiously on a patched build. that means there is also the javelin glitch?

 

one thing i learned:

 

if there is something to abuse, the people will abuse the shit out of it. look at the grenade launchers: in mw3 almost nobody uses them, but in mw2 they're very popular. people love to play with overpowered guns + setups. the same with hacks, if there is nothing to stop them, it's out of control and totally destroys the fun for serious players.

The server administrators are responsible for keeping law and order on their server, they can use mods to prevent people from using such weapons I would look for servers with "anti-noob" in the hostname

i understand that they're badass shotguns with the flipcocking animation and after the patch they're truly underpowered and unreliable, but right now they're too strong. you can snipe with them and kill with 1 shot at an insane range. i know there is already enough overpowered shit in this game like g18, ump, acr, aa12 and so on, but this is really gamebreaking.

i guess i will have to use the iw4m alternative.
