they said gtx 660 is max it could handle but i want to check it myself,where do i find that info?

I guess that's OEM PC, so the case won't be big enough to fit 680, that's what they were trying to tell you.

If you wan't to get 680 then buy bigger case.

I don't know what magic OP did, but that's underpriced by a huge amount.

GT640 OEM isn't actually horrible. It has GDDR5 iirc unlike the retail DDR3 version, which gives it like twice the mem bandwidth With such a cpu-heavy setup as that, though, you'll probably have more luck with games like Skyrim
