Could someone give me a brief explanation on how dependencies work?

How would one load say rain from mp_underpass and use it on other maps?

 

Like how did LoserSM get rain to work on Cargoship?

Since SP maps don't contain mp teams or special FX and such it's necessary to load a MP map keep and it in memory before loading the SP map. The concerning FX and such can be loaded then as if they were in the SP map.

It also works the other way round with SP weapons for example.

Could you also load certain FX from one mp map to another, to create rain on Terminal for example? Is this very difficult to do, does it require a custom .dll?

Never tried that, but should work yes. Indeed it requires a custom DLL.
