Hey

 

Whenever I open 4D1 I see the IW4 console and then the game loads but after one second it switches back to desktop and opens the Windows 7 display properties (with the resolution settings). It doesn't crash, it just switches, if I try to go back to the game it does the same thing.

 

The console says this when it happens:

Initializing render targets...

Requested frame buffer to be 24-bit color with 8-bit alpha

DirectX returned a frame buffer that is 24-bit color with 8-bit alpha

Initializing static model cache...

Initializing dynamic buffers...

Initializing particle cloud buffer...

Creating Direct3D queries...

Finished recovering lost device.

 

My specs are:

CPU: AMD Phenom X3 8550

RAM: 4GB

GPU: nVidia 8200

HDD: 1TB

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

 

The weird thing is that yesterday I was playing it fine without problem.

go to your game folder open players and delete config_m2.cfg (stats dont reset, only your keybindings and game settings)

Finished recovering lost device.

For that, I would say that the problem could be with your graphic drivers (an update would fix it)

This however isn't normal.

I've just put it in Windowed mode, it works fine.
