Hey guys, so I made a dedicated server for me and my friends, and everything is working fine for me, but when i give my friends my IPv4 address, they cant join :/

They keep on getting the : Joining Game Session # from 1 to 20, and then it brings them to the main menu and gives them the : Unable to Join game session or Unable to connect to host error, Is there a fix for that ?? Please help :/

You don't use your ipv4 address, you give them your public IP:port (usually 28960)

You can find your public IP from http://ipchicken.com/

So all i do is copy my ip adress from that, and add on the port right ? In my case 28961

have you opened your ports? if not, go onto youtube and find a tutorial on how to open your ports for your specific router, once you have done that check to see if your server comes up on this website: http://78.46.45.99/mw2/serverlist/serverlist.php

 

let the page load for a minute or two , then press ctrl +f to bring up the search, and search for your server

 

if your server is coming up on that website people should be able to find it normally in the server browser. so no need for ip address, just tell them the name of your server.

I opened them now, but i cant open the server list website ?

It dosent appear on any of them :/

can u join to your server yourself? if so make a note of the last 5 digit number of the ip address, and make sure that its the same number you are using when opening your ports and also the same number as the number used in the shortcuts properties target box

Yep, i can connect to my server, but only with my IPv4 address, nothing else,

When i port forwarder/opened the ports i used my ipv4 address aswell,

I have no clue what is happening

 

Oh and when im on my server, i have that weird bug with No Ammo, no matter what weapon i pick, i get that red text saying NO AMMO. But actually i can shoot

That happen, because serverowner didnВґt update their servers...

ill fix it later, i just need that server to work

When you are hosting your server in the same network as your pc you can only connect with your internal IP...

alright, so with what ip should my friends connect ? I am supposed to see it in the console right ?

With your external IP

but the external ip dosent appear on the server list :/ and I already gave them that IP and they say they have that Joining Game Session problem...

@Edit , Guys i just tried to update my server. But i get an error when i open dsut, : Tester has stopped working. What the hell ??? I get too much problems, please if u can help me with that problem too ;(
