Hello mates. I have a problem with MW2. When this was aIW, I used to play on Windows XP and the game runs fine. Now, I use Windows 7 x64, and the game let me play 5-10 minutes, then my pc freezes completely. I have to force it to power off. Anyone know why is this? I think my pc can run perfectly MW2:

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.6 GHz

-4 GB Ram

-nVidia GeForce GTS 250 1 GB

Thanks in advance.

i'm on win 7 x64 and 4 gig ram and run firefox and skype and other programs while playing fd1 no problem.. your computer might overheat. mine gets really hot after 10-15 minutes of play. check this with some free tool like hwmonitor (www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html)

if the figures are more close to 100 degrees Celsius - this might be the trouble

clean the insides of your computer from dust (especially radiators of CPU and GPU - they collect huge amounts)and invest in additional cooler for your case - it's like 10 USD for a cheap one here - must be nearly the same where you live. it adds more noise but helps with temperature. the expensive ones are more silent.
