Right from the start of 4D1 we were all told we had to buy a legit copy of MW2 in order to play and myself and I'm sure many more peeps went out and bought a copy. Now it seems the Steam check is redundant and pirated copies work again. I thought the whole reason for 4D1 was to offer a legitimate service that Activision could live with and not sue everyone's asses...wtf?

No the steam check was removed, after a few revisions later.

Seriously, it's not our fault people play using pirated versions. It's their fault if they do it, not fourdeltaone. 4D1 doesn't endorse piracy. Steam check was bypasable anyway.

I think aIW received the cease and desist letter from activision mainly because of alterOps, alterMW3 and the plans to do something similar to Call Of Duty Elite, i don't think they really cared about the modifications made to MW2. Well that's my opinion anyway, maybe i'm wrong.

Yeah, you can bypass steam... just play the game and it bypasses it.. because it doesn't check anymore. Did you even READ the first post? Or any of the previous posts about this very topic?!
