um, for shadows it's more of filtering techniques like PCF/PCSS

but there appears to be no transparency aa at all

Those screenshots are from when I was playing and the top one is on maxed out settings with 4x SSAA ._.

Its a nice feauture but its not an amd exclusive. Nvidia will probably use it in future games too.
