Hey guys I tried to play today and I got a message saying Connecting to online services... Sometimes I get past that error but then I click play and then I get Fetching online profile...

I tried disabling antivirus (Avast)

No portforwarding (Modem)

Disabling Firewall (Comodo)

Deleting Caches.xml

Deleting iw5m.dll

Changing the priority from high to normal with task manager

synchronizing internet time

restarting computer and the game

Updating game with dsut.exe

Help would be appreciated >:|

I have a modem

Open the cmd, type "ipconfig" and search for your predefined gateway. Then, navigate to your predefined gateway with your favourite browser and type the username and the password of your modem. If you dont know what's the user and password, try searching on google your modem's reference.

Then, just port forward 3074 and see if it works

If you're getting the "Connecting to Online Services" on your dedicated server, try the following steps.

Here are some possible causes:
a. Your ports aren't open
b. You launched the server with incorrect parameters
c. The master server is offline
d. You haven't created a .dsx file in your IW5 folder, restart and try again.
e. You're not being able to use the required sockets. Open windows command prompt as administrator and use this command:
"netsh winsock reset"

Don't ever bump like that again

Remember that you have to run the command prompt as administrator. Wich should mention that you have to reboot the computer for winsock reset to take effect.

Yes I ran cmd as admin and it told me to restart but it didn't work.

What about the .dsx file?
