So windowed mode opens with Alt + Enter, but when i do that the game freezes before i can see what error i get so i can find a fix. What to do

 

Go to your config_m2, it should be located in your players folder, open it and search with CTRL+F for:

 

r_fullscreen

 

Set that to 0, save and launch IW4M again.

My method:

/r_noborder "1"

/r_fullscreen "0"

+ maximize the game in taskmanager. for me it works like a charm + i never experienced DirectX-Errors with this.
