It wont really matter if there isnt an invite button because as lon gas the game still uses that console box then friends can just type connect (your ip) and they will be in your party.

Note that there already has been an invite button in IW4M. It's likely, that an invite feature will be implemented.

If it works via Steam, isn't it likely, that the invite button will use the normal steam friends interface like the "normal" Modern Warfare 2? Is any patching for that really necessary?

Adding the connect command again would be nice anyway!

(Someone correct me if I'm wrong) I dont think NTA's project even touches the steam files, as it only checks if you own the game. Then i believe the rest is similar if not better than IW4M1 from the original aIW.
