1. NTA is "reviving" the mw2 mod but it is not going to be called AlterIW.

2. you will have to have a purchased copy of MW2 on steam.

3. there is no ETA for this project and there is now download yet.

Go ask them. Blitz was, seemingly, the first one to come up with keeping the community alive... thus, alterGaming was made. NTA wanted to continue AlterIW as a mod which works only on legitimate MW2 copies... so he made this site. Two different purposes, two different sites.

 

This is, AFAIK; just how things worked out, in the end.

 

Omg, two different ideas, two different pages, I still insisting in create only one domain because if every creator of AlterIW project work together another creators AlterIW still existing (under another name) and I am sure that if every creator of AlterIW original project read this they think on it before take a decission. Blitz and Max don't share NTA's optimism for this project. They want to have nothing to do with reviving MW2 dedicated servers. Go read their forums and you'll understand.
