I got this error not every time, but often when I try to change the vidiosettengs that require a restart of the game. I also get it when i tro to connect to some maps and mods.

i run W7 64-bit.

Try to set your texture quality to automatic.

Make sure your directx is up to date and your graphics card.

Once you did that delete players folder Your m2_config.cfg located in your players folder, and try again.
