Everytime when I start the game I get an error, half of the screen will go black and I cannot access the window which says the error.

Alt-tab won't work, alt-enter won't work, alt-esc won't work, nothing.

I would really appreciate if you could suggest anything, really.

Have you tried typing r_fullscreen 0 in console before you get the error? Or adding it to your config?

Try this, enable windows task bar preview if you have windows vista or up, press control alt delete, then click on the MW2 icon and mouse over the error window, it should preview it to you without actually bringing it up front. Take a screenshot, and paste it in paint. Bam, for your viewing pleasure.

Open your config_m2.cfg, and set r_fullscreen to

 

r_fullscreen 0

If it doesn't exist, add the entry.

 

Post the error after you get it.
