Well we first started with the usual gestures. Hello, what's your name, where do you come from, etc. Then we started with the pronouns. We started with the possessive pronouns. Then she gave us all of the conjugations to learn. Random words and verbs. Now she makes us do all sorts of sentences with them. And this is not all that we've learned. I just don't know how to define it since she gives us a random sentence and starts taking out the words and giving us synonyms to the words in the sentence etc. The easiest part of it was the numbers. And yeah... this is just my second week and the textbooks haven't arrived yet.

You could try to browse German websites, like Krautchan (everything but /int/, where English is the main language). You should try to find links between your native language/English and German as well, for example:

Many teachers don't like it when a student corrects them, age doesn't really matter in that case.
