We recently got a MW2 Server and it's been going great. Loved Alter. I love this.

But about 15 minutes ago, some guy named "." Without the quotes joined our server and was registry hacking, so I used B3 to ban him. He instantly reconnected and started doing the same thing. So I banned him again. I figured sooner or later he would be fed up and stop reconnecting. But after about the sixth time he joined and said. Alright the server crashing. and it did. Is there going to be some kind of update to fix this. Or will this continue to happen? We have to wait for our other member to get off work to restart the server. So in the mean time I'm just looking into this.

 

And sorry if this has already been brought up and answered I tried searching.

Well, the server instance might not have necessarily crashed. Are you hosting the server locally, or is it hosted remotely?

 

A DDoS attack could simply 'crash' the server for a short period of time yielding it offline.

Add this in the server.cfg set sv_master2 ""

here is a command called killserver.

If your hosting that stuff on aRev then your at the wrong place.

It's hosted remotely by PsyberGaming, and they got the server configuration and updater here. @DidUKnowIPwn - will the set sv_master2 "" line take care of aRev clients joining? Or do I need to do something else? Thanks!

Only if it's our version. Theirs has no such protection.

As IW4Play was added some time ago you could also set:

sv_master3 ""

Setting both of the sv_master dvars in the config will prevent players using the aRev and iw4mplay.de from joining your server
