I recorded a demo on an iSnipe server.I did pretty well.Then I load up Fraps and type in the console /demo isnipe.The demo loads up and I record successfully until 30 seconds pass.Then the game gives me an error "Lost Connection to Host"WTF?

Yeah, same thing, demos end randomly.

Make sure it wasn't on a AlterRev server.

Some very unfortunate people have he issue that they can only record demos for a short time until it stops. You seem to be one of them. Did you type /stoprecord after recording?

 

There's no way you can get it working all the way through as far as I know.

Yes, I type stoprecord. And they aren't very short too. Like 10 of 30 minutes demo or 5 of 10 minutes.

Just did. It ends on 4th minute of 20 minute demo.

I had this issue a few times as well.

I was recording a commentary for a gameplay, but it crashed with the same error after about 3 minutes.

However, for some odd reason, after a few trys the error did not appear again...
