So im trying to play with the compiled dll's. The first time it was ok, but now the console freezes in "Performing Steam authentication..."

 

I'm running Steam in the background with my legit MW2 account. Any thoughts?

Same problem with me.

 

But First time i tried to launch it, it authenticated with Steam, but failed because it couldnt read the config.

 

Now it wont start at all. Even tried on a vanilla copy of MW2 and didnt even start ( except for the console popping up and it stays on authenticating with Steam )

This is a known bug which is under investigation.

Might just have worked, I can get in to the game 3/5 times now.

I'm using VS2010 so I dont think that he need to download VS2008
