Okay so I was thinking of buying Black Ops because I kinda adore that game but does anyone know how many players there are on a daily basis? Is it a lot or very little? And if black ops is a bad idea to buy what game should I buy? Also, I'm a fan of BF (Especially BC2) and FPS games, so let me know please!

If you like BC2, then BF3 is the obvious choice. Your computer will run it smoothly on high settings. That is if you can tolerate EA's Origin and the stupid web-based game launcher.

Actually, I pirated BF3 to see if it works, and it does, but only on 800x600 with setting set to low. Got 60fps Oh and don't worry I'm sure I can use the No-Origin patch anyway. It's just my PC doesn't seem to run any higher than my old PC (D820 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, HD5450 1GB) and I play at medium settings. Oh also I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, old PC had windows 7 Ultimate. Any ideas?

Oh and don't worry I'm sure I can use the No-Origin patch anyway.

Of course I know games get updates, it just I don't want to pay for a game that MAY not work on my PC. And fair enough whatever with the origin patch, it doesn't really bother me anyway. I was just wondering, considering I haven't activated my Windows 7 yet [i have home premium], should I do it? Will it make my PC faster? or use the last Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade I have?

Activating may make it a bit faster (no processes), but not much.

Hmm if youre interested in getting a 460, I'm selling my 1 gb version for $110 ( inc, s/h ). It's revision 1, which for some odd reason is quite a bit more powerful than the revision 2 ( the current one on the market ). I purchased a rev 2 for sli only to find they weren't compatible, and noticed the performance diff. Mines pretty much like new. I just cleaned it out and replaced thermal paste. It's runs bf3 pretty well at 1080p. 60fps solidmwithmym config. PM me if you're interested.

If you'd upgrade to a GTX460 from that Radeon you wouldn't get much in return, you'd only waste money... And it's strange that your PC can't run BF3 smoothly at a good resolution because your specs are in line with the requirements and since BF is based on both CPU and GPU (about 50/50 work) it shouldn't really run that bad...

i like it a lot but i dont even play my ps3 anymore

 

im a BF3 fan now though ever since mw3 was whack..
