There should be an option in the server list to filter non dlc content and dlc content this isn't probably even to hard to do if it would as an example search in \zone\dlc and the maps names.

this would probably show that you have in no intention to "yarr" anything.

its an small suggestion though.

But .. why

so that the ones that havent bought the dlc map pack(s) still can play without going in a server that uses dlc maps sometimes which would cause them not to be able to load the map and get "kicked" from the server. having to find a new one and that would probably be frustrating.

also showing activision that they do not support piracy in any type of way? as i stated above.

unless rejecting loading of DLC maps in case of... but that'd cause issues with map rotation in another way, unless that's fixed too.

What if you make sv_dlc_"1"

sv_dlc_"0" as an example

 

so that the server owner can by himself put as an example sv_dlc_"1" if he's hosting dlc content and if the cmd is equal to "1" it would get filtered in the server list? even though i have no coding knowledge it sounds simple its not that big of a deal actually but like blops also had this feature in the server list would make the user experience better so that you wouldn't have to worry about getting kicked out of a game when you dont have the maps.

 

edit: if it would check the server host for the certain map files to make sure it has them then it would change like "sv_dlc_"0" to sv_dlc_"1" or something and im quite sure people wouldnt "Lie" about it either since there is no point in that also so that some servers wont get rid of players because of the dlc's.

Not quite sure what your reply means... What I meant is that a server admin puts that in their server.cfg if they are running DLC maps. The filter checks for that and if it's set to "1", it doesn't show that server for the person that wants to filter them out.
