Been playin' a little bit, but this damn game isn't that fun anymore. DirectX errors fuck up the game too often & it's gettin' pretty damn annoying. Cheaters!!! Every server got one or two of those freakin' butt-heads. So honestly guys, tell me the truth is this project you are developing going to get better any time soon or should I just give up hoping on this game ever getting better. I just need straight answer, is it worth playing this buggy project or should I just fuck off, cause as I see there aren't many player out there, empty server outnumber all those active players and cheaters.

It changes the game to "windowed mode". I can't explain you exactelly why, but it makes DirectX errors less likely to happen.

Doesn't help much, but no1 answer my actual question is this game worth playing? Too many errors, bugs, cheaters. Is it going to get better or not? Is there any developing plans for this buggy project for the near future or is it in the final stage?

If you get too many errors, it may be related to your system and not the actual 4D1... I don't get that many errors... and as for cheaters, they're everywhere, even in Steam itself... Some servers have /votekick enabled, which requires 60% of the players to type /yes in chat to kick the cheater in question...

 

But the cheating race is never ending. They'll always find ways to cheat, and ruin everyone elses fun.

 

No offense, try checking your system specs, both hardware and software.

I "said" I''ll be back 8-) BUT that is when this game doesn't crash every fuckin' time a map loads and most important when the FUCK, when most of those damn cheaters "pay" the price of cheating and that would be SURPRISE BUTT SEX :twisted: I'm stalking all new post for this project and still readin' about different errors and especially that damn directx error. So when those damn error topics are solved or new ones stop appear then I'll install this game again and see if the game got any improvements at all. :mrgreen:

Yup came back again to try the game, no improvements at all with the damn DirectX issue :evil: So let's get this damn error a fist in the nuts! Some say the system sucks, then how come there isn't a single directx error with any other game I got. Not a single directx error from TeknogodsMW3, SecretSchemes BO, CoD WaW, Mass Effect 3, TF2, TES - Skyrim. I reinstalled directx and all c++ redistributables and even the Net framework, already tried the 17th of Common Fixes/Errors/Questions and still no positive results :x What am I doing wrong? Installed the skidrow release then copy/paste all aIW DLCs (aIW-DLC1, aIW-DLC2 & aIW-Misc) and apply the 4d1 installer. If I'm missing anything then please point so. The errors occur mostly on maps loading and few on exiting from servers. Didn't test it quite right, cause I thing these errors mostly occur on certain maps, mostly on Terminal, played some time yesterday and that damn error pissed me off :x and uninstalled the game. :roll: I got every F. thing updated, I use KIS2012, no viruses, no malicious prog. at all, everything is fine. Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit, Nvidia 9500 GT 512MB (latest drivers - 301.42-desktop-win7-winvista-32bit-english-whql - without 3D Vision Driver & Controller Driver & Nvidia Update) 2GB ram, AMD Athlon II X2 245 2.9GHz. Back in the days when AlterIWnet was running I never had any DirectX errors with any of the projects they developed. So If you really want to help or if any of you had the same issues and you got them fixed please reply. So guys give me your expertise on what could be the F. problem with this game.

So, do you use that windowed mode? Most DirectX errors are caused by switching to desktop and back or by not having "texture quality" video option set to "automatics".

 

Tried that, but didn't change much and started experimenting with it. Changing it into /r_fullscreen 0; r_noborder 0; vid_restart, then /r_fullscreen 1; r_noborder 1; vid_restart and when tried to load new maps like Gulag and Airport this happened...

a whole lot of mess... I wonder if this errors occur cause of different map setting on the servers or maybe I'm missing something. Is there a third DLC I should know about or something else?

So, I'll give you several options:

 

1- reinstall MW2, add the DLCs and install IW4M

2- reinstall windows 7, install all drivers, install VC++ and directX, fully update windows, and then repeat option 1

still not fixed?

4- run away to a far away island where no computers exist

hahaha noooo way... already tried the first, the second will have to wait, since I do not have any other problems so I could do full system reinstalling. Every other game I play right now runs smoothly without any problem what so ever, just this project that seems "perfect" fucks up. But ok won't bother myself anymore, not worth it anyway...

Just wait for the next revision and hope that it's going to work...

You can always try updating the graphic card drivers and DirectX. Then try disabling windows aero theme and try to play that way.

Or just don't tab off. I've not once had that error unless I've tabbed off, even then it's when I'm recording with Fraps.
